A Root Awakening is the forty-sixth episode of Chloe's Closet for Season 2 and the ninety-eighth episode overall.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Chloe, Tara and Riley making clay vases, modelling theirs to closely match the exact vase that is front of them. As they complete the bases, Chloe and Riley decides to play with blocks as they wait for the clay to dry. However, Tara instead wants to paint her vase now, which only causes her vase to sink just as she places the first dab of paint on it. Just as she sulks over her now ruined vase, Chloe's closet lights up for dress up time, which manages to cheer her up a bit as she had never planned to paint vases in the first place. While Riley thinks that they will be artists, Chloe tells him that they will be gardeners for the day instead.

Chloe, Tara and Riley are then transported to their fantasy in the garden, where they each fancy and pick off some of the flowers that grow there. However as Riley takes a closer look at the roses, one of them squirts him in the face to his surprise, which reveals to be the trick of the Great Bunny Magician, who had no harm to squirt him in the first place. After apologizing and cleaning up his face with his handkerchief, he reveals that it was all just part of him testing out a new trick. After another failed attempt, the bell at the counter rings, awaiting the gang with a customer to the garden. Chloe comes forward to attend to her, where she seeks her request for a bouquet of flowers. Unfortunately, Riley does not know how to make one, but Chloe and Tara shows him how as they pick some flowers for the bunch. followed with the Bunny Magician casting a spell to tie them together with a blue ribbon. After handing the customer her bouquet of flowers, Lovely Carrot notices the line of customers growing at the counter, prompting the gang to start making more bouquets for them.

Once they finish attending all of the customers, Tara suggests making their own bouquets, which Chloe agrees to. There, she plans to start off with sunflowers, only to realize that all of the sunflowers have been used up. While Riley suggest using daisies instead, Tara is still reluctant to use them as she loves sunflowers. Chloe then decides to grow new seeds to plant more sunflowers, to which the Bunny Magician conjures up with his magic. After which, Riley digs out a hole in a flower bed, and Tara places the seeds in it as Chloe gets the water to water on them. With nothing sprouting out immediately, Tara gets impatient and even more frustrated after realizing how long flowers actually take to grow up. Lightening her spirits, the Bunny Magician decides to give her a balloon sunflower, but Tara refuses the offer, insisting that she has a real sunflower, which the Bunny Magician can't do automatically with his magic. However, Tara thinks that it can help the seeds grow faster otherwise and pleads the Bunny Magician to give it a try. Despite the hesitance and unsureness, the Bunny Magician braces it and casts the spell towards the seeds, which soon sprouts out a giant sunflower right in front of the gang. Unfortunately, that spell also sends him up on top of the sunflower as well, causing him to cower in fear due to the height.

The gang quickly goes forth to try and save him, but with him being way too high up, they are unable to understand what he tries to say. However, his magic wand thankfully remains on the ground, and Riley decides to try and fix this up, only to end up causing another plant to grow bigger and even shrinking down Lovely Carrot in the process. Tara then decides to take over, but ends up giving Riley a set of butterfly wings, which brings him flying up to the same level as where the Bunny Magician is. Before Tara can try again, Chloe stops her for her idea, where she recalls the Bunny Magician's magic words as a pattern, reversing the order to undo the spells so far. From there, she gives this a try to Lovely Carrot, which works as he goes back to his normal size. After which, she continues casting the spell on the sunflower, bringing back the Bunny Magician to safety, who then takes over to undo Riley's wings, while quickly giving him a trampoline for support. Chloe soon feels sorry that Tara will have to wait for her sunflowers to grow, but Tara does not mind this know, having learnt about being patient and decides to stick with daisies in the meantime.

Back in Chloe's room, the gang resumes in making their vases, and Tara decides to reconstruct her vase over, while now being a lot more patient this time to let the clay dry first before she paints. During which, Chloe's mother comes in to check on them, and Chloe tells her about their adventure. From there, she invites the gang to find the flowers to pick, which they follow along.

Epilogue: "Magic wands and bunny magicians are fun, Lovely Carrot. But there's nothing more magical in the world than having a best friend like you." - Chloe to Lovely Carrot
