Chloe's Closet Wiki

Grouchy Pandas, Giggling Dragon is the thirty-seventh episode of Chloe's Closet for Season 2, and the eighty-ninth episode overall.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Chloe, Lil and Mac playing a round of "Mother May I", where Chloe is the instructor. After Lil's turn, Mac gets to his turn to move five giant steps forward. However, out of his own confusion and thoughts, he does not say "Mother, May I?" before his turn, causing Lil to stop him from moving forward. Despite this, Mac is still is engaged in his own activity and ignores his sister's words, just as Chloe's closet lights up for dress up time. While Lil thinks that they might visit real giants, Chloe instead tells her that they will be going to China instead for the day.

Chloe, Lil and Mac are then transported to their fantasy right in front of The Great Wall of China. Although Lil wishes to see what is on the other side of the wall, the long distance to the other way round makes it seem impossible, with the added height of the wall itself. However, a door on the wall suddenly opens up magically, and Chloe decides they follow in that door to have a try. Upon reaching there, they notice a parade procession occurring. However, behind the line at the dragon, the two pandas (whose names are Yu and Wu) that hold onto it struggle to get it upright, and the gang quickly approaches to seek their help. As they provide help on the poles, Chloe and Lil lead in a rhythm chant, which Mac gets the order mixed up, though still keeping with most of the rhythm. As the parade keeps going, a mischievous little dragon flies about to join in, briefly mistaking Lovely Carrot for a dragon as she flies.

After the parade, the pandas thank the gang for their help, and they also take the gang forward to see and hear the many sights about China. There, they meet a black bear playing some bells, to which Mac tries to count out. As the bear continues to play her music, the little dragon returns much to her annoyance. Despite this, the gang finds it humorous. From there, the pandas continue showing the gang more sights about, leading them down into a bamboo forest where the pandas happily chew on. During which, a tiger (whose name is Hu) comes by showcase his yoyo tricks with his "che ling". Being excited, Mac comes forward to see this for himself, but Lovely Carrot gently warns him about tigers, where he accidentally gets dragged by the yoyo and back into Chloe's arm. After Lovely Carrot is assured that only friendly tigers exist in her world, Hu decides to show another trick to the gang, allowing them to count the number of times his yoyo goes around his leg. During so, Mac counts in the wrong order, which Lil helps him correct. Hu continues to demonstrate even more tricks that he has, but the same dragon returns and snatches his yoyo mid air, playing about with it in her own way. This leaves Hu frustrated about this as he shares his issue with the dragon to the others, which also occurs with the pandas when they play "ping pang qiu." Knowing how good they are at the game, Hu decides that they can teach the gang how to play it, which the pandas happily agree to.

As they arrive at the court, Mac decides to count the number of ping pong balls in the red bucket, and gets it all in the right order this time without any help. Following this, the pandas show the gang how to play the game, but during the demonstration, the dragon returns to snatch their ball, causing Yu to run after it, only to end up being dragged by her tail about, landing into a grass patch. After a while, Yu gets Chloe and Lil to give this a try, while Mac keeps in check of the number of times the ball is hit across the table. However, the dragon gets back to her mischievous ways and snatches the ball once more. This time, Lovely Carrot catches up to her, but only to end up missing her slightly. As the pandas tell the gang about the dragon herself and how they struggle to reason with her, Mac decides to show Chloe his counting once more, this time to be used as a way for the dragon to be caught easily. Linking this with the number of times the ball has been hit for the dragon to come, Chloe and Lil strategizes a plan to play ping pong, and prepares to shoot the ball into a cage at the number 5 to catch that dragon. The plan eventually manages to work, but the pandas soon confront her on how she does not play the game right. The dragon then apologizes for this, having assumed that everyone having fun meant an opportunity for her to join in. As she still is unsure of the rules to the game, Chloe offers to teach her that, as the pandas demonstrate a round of ping pong to show her. Being interested in it, the dragon decides to have her own go with Chloe and enjoys it a lot more. After that match, she makes a promise to not spoil the fun of others in their games, but the pandas still welcome her back to play ping pong again, which she excitedly agrees.

Back in Chloe's room, Mac resumes in playing "Mother May I", and now remembers on having to ask "Mother May I" to Chloe before he proceeds on any further. During which, Chloe's father comes in and Chloe tells him about their adventure. From there, Chloe's father invites the gang over to the zoo to see some real pandas, which they all follow along. Before joining in the others, Chloe specially commends Lovely Carrot for being her favorite animal friend.
