Chloe's Closet Wiki

The Color Pink is the third episode of Chloe's Closet for Season 1.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Chloe and Tara drawing animals in Chloe's room. Chloe has drawn a pink giraffe, extending across six sheets of paper. Tara has drawn a picture of her purple bear, seated on a pile of books, which is soon knocked over by Jet's ball. Jet comes over to see the pictures and mistakes Chloe's giraffe for a horse. Chloe then imitates Lovely Carrot to show Jet her multiple drawings of him on the wall. While Tara shows Jet her drawing, he's unsure what to make of it. Tara asks if Chloe has any purple paint, and Jet agrees to help them find it. However, he can only find five bottles, not the six Chloe had in her room. With the pink paint missing, Jet suggests they play detectives to find the missing bottle. Just as they are about to start their investigation, Chloe's closet lights up, signaling dress-up time. For the day, Chloe and Tara are going to be princesses, while Jet will be a wizard.

Chloe, Jet, and Tara are then transported into their fantasy, finding themselves in a forest where Chloe and Tara play and admire their costumes, while Jet and Lovely Carrot struggle to carry their heavy book of spells. As the group moves along, Jet trips and lands in a pit that turns out to be a giant footprint. Tara suspects it might belong to a terrible dragon, but Chloe reassures her that there are no such dragons in her world. As they follow the path towards the darker side of the forest, Lovely Carrot tries to stop Chloe from going further, but Chloe insists and moves forward with the others while Lovely Carrot catches up. At the end of the path, they spot a castle in the distance, and with the help of a horse and carriage, they set off to reach it easily.

As they finally approach the castle, they are confused to find it painted green instead of pink. Now a wizard, Jet, with Lovely Carrot's help, attempts to fix the problem with a spell, but ends up turning the nearby trees into pink giraffes. Jet then tries other spells but ends up causing the castle tower roofs to toot and Lovely Carrot to change colors (and at one point, gain green spots). Just as Jet is about to try another spell, Chloe suggests painting the castle pink instead, much to Jet's relief. As Tara wonders where they will get paint, the book magically shows them a page with a can of paint, and the words "a can of paint" make an actual can of white paint appear. Jet then says the phrase multiple times to make more cans appear, followed by a red one, and then a page that shows them how to make pink paint.

With that, the gang all heads over to the castle, and mixes the paint together in a cauldron. Following that, Jet magically gives Chloe, Tara and Lovely Carrot each a paintbrush, and they all start to paint the castle. While most of the castle now looks pink, the top still remains green. Chloe then suggests that Jet comes up with a magic spell to make them taller, only to cause the hill on which they sit upon to start shaking and grow taller. It later turns out that the "hill" is actually a dragon which angrily roars at them. Lovely Carrot soon comes in defense after briefly passing out and fights off with the dragon to keep Chloe, Jet and Tara safe. Chloe stops them in between and asks the Dragon why he’s so grouchy, and it is because of the castle now being painted pink, which the sight of it makes him dizzy. Despite Chloe's suggestion to repaint the castle back to green, the Dragon is not fond of that color either and decides to find somewhere else to live, just when Chloe has yet another idea for him. Instead of repainting, Jet fins a spell in the book that conjures up blue sunglasses, only he makes them bigger for the Dragon's size. With the help of the sunglasses, the Dragon now sees the castle as purple, which he enjoys a lot. Seeing Tara disappointed over the castle as well and her love for the color purple, Jet conjures another pair of those sunglasses for her, allowing her to see a purple castle as well. With everyone more satisfied, they continue to finish painting the castle pink.

Back in Chloe's room, Chloe recalls the formula for pink paint to make it with the red and white paint that she has, just when Chloe's mother comes in to take her, Jet and Tara to the zoo. Chloe wonders if there will be any pink giraffes there, but her mother fears not, although Jet reassures that there will always be some in her world.
